Setting up your services 🐕

Services Settings

• Service Name
• Service Duration
  • The size of the appointment card on the calendar page will automatically adjust based on the service duration.
• Service Fee
  • Every time a service is selected, the software will automatically set the service fee to the default amount specified under the service fee setting.
• Accepted Pet Type
  • Select the type of pet this service is applicable to, such as only cats, only dogs, or both.

❗For online bookings: Be aware that the type of pet selected could affect the availability of the service.

• Service Detail
  • Provide a brief overview of what this service includes. If you offer online booking, this information can be visible to your customers.
• Category
  • Select the service category from the dropdown menu where you want to place this service.
• Tax
  • If you wish to include a sales tax for the service, select a tax rate from the dropdown menu. If you need to create a unique tax rate, proceed to Settings → Tax & Payments → Tax → Add. Return to the service and select the tax rate you just created.

• Color

  

  • Choose a service color to apply to this service. Note that the chosen service color will match the color of the appointment card. This way, you can quickly identify the service based on the appointment card color.
• Book Online
  • This toggle controls whether you want this service to be available for online booking.
• Cal Commission
  • This toggle determines whether this service should be included in the staff's payroll commission calculation.
• Staffs
  • This section identifies which staff members are authorized to perform this service.

❗For Online Bookings: Please note that the availability may be impacted by the specific staff members able to perform the service.

• Special Commission
  • You can assign a unique commission percentage on specific services, different from your staff's regular commission. This special commission will override the standard commission you've set for your staff.

🚩GrooMore also offers more advanced service settings such as pricing and duration based on the breed, weight, or hair length of the pet. You can uniquely tailor services to your customer's pet by combining these factors. This feature enables your customers to select services without sifting through hundreds of breed-specific options that aren't relevant to their pet.
